Five Bluebirds of Happiness

So happy right now. I was sitting at the window watching the hummingbirds chasing each other from one feeder to another. Out of the corner of my eye I saw five baby bluebirds come for a visit to the bird bath. They were splashing all around. I didn't have any babies in my backyard house this year due to the other birds and their babies. So I have missed them. These five bluebirds have been here before. I have talked about them many times. I was inside, so I didn't get a chance to snap any photos. But it was so exciting to see these babies. I call them babies because you can still see the spots on them. For at least the first year, they will have spots and then they reach adulthood. This means even though my backyard house was not successful, somebody closeby had a nest of five bluebird babies. And that makes me very happy! Enjoy the little things in life.

They were not born in my yard but apparently the parents were and showed them where the water was.

If we joint enjoy the little things in life then when something a bit bigger comes out way we're really up a creek. But when we can appreciate the good in our life and looking for the silver linings, which I will say seems easier for some than others, then the mountains we get hit with we can treat like a pebble in our shoe and keep moving.

@CarolDM glad you got the gist of what I was trying to say since my phone changed some of my words. For the forest time ever I could figure it out and made the correct changed.

Such a wonderful sight. I'd love to sit there and just stare in wonder. When we move to the old house, I intend to buy some shepherd crooks and hang bird feeders from them.

@CarolDM I've only seen bluebirds when I visited Missouri. I know that there are beautiful and loud Stellar jays where I will move to. Stellars are hatchet headed and blue black.

Awesome! The gentle spirit of the garden has a sense of humor. Made you wait, but then wasn't the wait worth it?

It is really cool you have bluebirds in your yard..most of the birds that hang around here are small and an unexciting shade of brown. Once in awhile we get a handsome bird though.

Glad to hear you have those bluebirds in your garden/backyard. Here we have a fair amount of bluejays who love peanuts in a shell...just like squirrels... Glad to see you here on my lot and Virily Carol...
