This morning I told Waze to show me the way home.
She said to take the New York Thruway as the shortest route.
I said, “Hey, isn’t there a waterfall near the end of the New York Thruway? Niagara something or another?”
So I stopped and spent four hours there.
Seriously, if you’ve never been there, do yourself a favor. No photo, no video, no description can tell you what it’s like.
(Having said that, I have more discussions about it!)

Terrific scenery in upper state NY. When I visited Cooperstown I do remember how it was such a different world compared to the NYC area. One forgets just how big a state NY really is...

I haven’t checked my transponder account to see how much I spent in tolls....but whatever the amount, it was worth every penny. GORGEOUS scenery there. And it’ll be MORE amazing in a few weeks when the leaves start changing!

@dgobucks226 — happy to oblige. Tell New York tourism they owe me a penny.

Oh I have been there last year too last springtime. We had a blast there it was still too cold at that time. Not the ideal time actually but we decided to pursue it because it was the only time we had to visit the place. Although freezing we brave to get near the falls.

Ooh, I can only imagine how cold it felt! The falls have frozen over a few times in history, which should tell you how cold it can get!

@FourWalls it was actually frozen though the falls were not but the water above and below was still frozen and was just breaking apart.

So Maze showed you a maze then tried to drown you for 4 hours. I make bad jokes.

Did you ride in a barrel?

No, but I heard “Roll Out the Barrel” at Cooperstown.
