Poetry: The grass grows by itself, not by itself.

The grass grows as itself into itself,
but it seldom grows alone.
There is always more grass nearby,
also reaching upwards, towards its own sky.
We only live one such life as ourselves too.
Sometimes we think we are living two.
What I do, and what I would like to do.
But there is no real gap between these, it's true.
We are all warriors of love, not worriers in fear.
It is never impossible for love to not love, or appear.
Even great mountains are being moved by love,
but it's up to us to move ourselves into ourselves.
The sheep nibbled at a blade of fresh grass, a treat.
It gave its substance to it, but left the roots to grow.
Sheep are not silly, and do not remove the root.
They allow more love to come forth, after they eat.

Let love nourish you, without you ever destroying it, be yourself.

Great poem! Nice observation about sheep leaving the roots so that there will be more grass on another day. Yes, God's love is inexhaustible and there will always be plenty more!

Yes, God never stops loving us, it is usually we who stop loving him. When we connect ourselves to God, by loving him again, we grow ourselves from that love, even as the sheep grows itself from the grass.

Thanks. Ha, ha. Yes, that's how I like to write them. Deep enough to drown (or lose) myself within them...LOL...

Poetry with a message to ponder.
Though we pride ourselves as being at the apex of creation, our awareness seems to be less than that of the puny sheep. We tend to have scant awareness of the love of creation by living a life leaving a trail of destruction in our wake!
Grass and plants relish the company of their own and others more than us. Coexistence and thoughts for others well-being come naturally to them - siva

Thanks, siva.
We must think a bit alike, (or at least understand each other) as you always do a great job of spelling out more clearly what I am trying to say.
You make the grass more palatable to eat!
I usually leave it for others to chew over.
You chew it over, and churn it out with digestive enzymes added, to carry that word picture a bit further.
Or perhaps, as Mary Poppins used to say, you add a spoonful of sugar to the medicine. That's a better word picture...LOL...

Thanks Steve for your encouragement.
Mine is more like a plaintive cry lamenting our outlook.
The deprived hope against hope that the few privileged will turn a new leaf but their hopes are belied.
The greed and ego of those that matter know no bounds thereby casting a pall of gloom all over. Of course, this state of affairs is more apparent in poorer countries.
It is always the divide and rule by the few wily politicians while those who can lead us to the right path are sidelined or they are afraid to step in to lead from the front - siva
