Are YOU a shoe addict?

Obviously, this discussion is directed at the ladies, but you guys can also chime in if you love shoes too or if your wife or significant other is a shoe addict. I could easily be a shoe addict, but I really try to curtail myself. My husband just doesn't understand and since we moved to this house over ten years ago, I have really been working hard on this problem. Why? This house was built in 1860 and there are only a few closets in the house. Yes, we have one small closet in the master bedroom. It is SMALL. It is almost useless. Now that I have a problem with storage for my shoes, I have stopped buying so many extra pairs of shoes...just because. I buy what I need or I may pick up a pair of boots, etc. at the end of the season for next year on sale, but normally I don't overdo it on shoes anymore. Or is your addiction more to the point of having a pair of shoes for each of your favorite outfits? You hate to wear the same pair of shoes with several outfits, so you have to get a new pair? This brings me to ask you, "Are you a shoe addict?" Where do you store your shoes? Do you have a nice walk-in closet with ample space for all of your shoes? Do you shove them under your bed? Where do you put them all? And how do you organize them? Photo: Pixabay, public domain

I go for comfort now too. Forget heels. If I need to go to a wedding, I go buy a new pair mostly.

I confess, I am a shoe addict. Walk-in closets do not exist here in Switzerland, I have a shoe cabinet (well 2) where to store my shoes.

I am 100% without a doubt a shoe addict. I probably have close to 100 pairs of shoes in my closet. Sperry boat shoes are a particular weakness of mine. I just bought a pair last week, and I'm already eyeing a pair I want to buy this week!

I had lots of shoes, specially sandals to wear during the summer months. But now my feet don´t accept shoes much. After the chemotherapy, my skin is so tender that I don´t know what to wear.

My feet are like that with the Fibromyalgia. I hate wearing shoes because they hurt. If they touch the top of my feet...it hurts. So sandals are my thing, both winter and summer.

I am not a shoe fanatic. My sister, however, is. Well, a tennis shoe fanatic. I used to be a sock fanatic, which is similar to shoes, but no,not nearly the same. Atleast I never run out of socks.

I'm not a shoe addict, but my grandson admitted that he is. He needs a pair of shoes for everything he wears. So, it isn't only the women, but guys too who can be shoe addicts.

I'm not really a shoe addict but seem to have accumulated a few spare pairs of sneakers but they'll all get worn eventually. When one pair wear out, I won't need to rush out and buy more.

I have never been fond of sneakers until moving here to the country. I wear them outside all the time. I have gone through several pairs in the last few years. In fact, more than I had worn in the past 20 years all put together.

@JudyEv I don't support that company anymore after they hired Colin Kaepernick, the former NFL football player than kneels for the American flag and national anthem. They won't get any of my money again.

@kareng Our son LOVES Nikes and manages to get us to buy a pair when we visit. He is four hours flight away as we only see him every few years. Last time we went he'd picked up two pairs for me that someone was selling and talked me into buying a new pair as well. I have to admit they are very comfy.

I have a storage unit out side of my home in the backyard. Lots of room to store and organize my shoes. When my storage shed gets full and there is no more room. I take the shoes I had the longest and go straight to operation blessing. I make sure the shoes are in great shape so whoever gets them will be glad to have them. My old shoes will be their new shoes. I do the same thing with my handbags.

I haven’t had more shoes than I need in a long time. In my 20’s I had way too many shoes. Now I only need a few pairs. I don’t wear heels any more just walking shoes that are comfortable.

My mother was a shoe addict, but I'm not. I have a couple pairs of shoes, comfortable for summer. Then, another pair plus a pair of warm boots, for winter. I also have one pair of sandals, that I only wore one time this year! Dress shoes? I have about three pairs, dark blue, brown, and a gray pair.
