Liberation

United States

Liberation comes in many forms. Tonight I was liberated from a situation that no longer suited me. Some might say that I should feel some sort of way about this, but I honestly do not. I knew this was coming, and there was no real need for me to prepare for it. I think I may have shocked the other person, however, in the way I handled it. I'm free, and I'm happy, and that's all that matters. Know your worth, folks. Your worth far more than you give yourselves credit for

If someone else tries to make us feel guilty or downtrodden, they should be put in their place!

Luckily, this wasn't my situation. I agree with you though, those types need to be put in their place quickly.

@kobesbuddy Trust me, I've been through it. Was married to someone like that at one time.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It's very intimidating and hard to tolerate.

You know, there was a time in my life when I did not love myself enough to value myself. That was many many years ago now, though. That is why I think knowing your own worth is the most important thing.

I know the feeling. I left my common law wife of eight years a couple months ago, and it's so, well, liberating!

Ah, common law is better than complete marriage... Been there, done that, not sure I want another t-shirt. This was just a bf this time...

Definitely happier. I'm just glad this didn't happen two months from now. I'd have been angry if it had.
