Last night I thought a lot about buying a phone on credit using a credit card but it wasn't possible because I have no credit card. Ifnyou use your credit cards, you won't be charged interest although you pay it with installments. Have you used credit cards this way? Image credit: pixabay

As long as phones are not damaged due to hard hit, they usually last for years.

It's alright if you pay the whole amount in one month cause it has no interest, paying on installment means that interest is already included there. Another thing you can do is pay with the cash you have on hand and credit the balance and again try your best to pay it in a month but if you fail the credit with interest would be less. There is nothing wrong if you buy it on credit even with interest so long as you would use it to make money cause that is leveraging debt, the problem with some people is they buy an expensive phone just to use for socializing, playing games or keeping up with what their friends have lol! That's the reason why a lot of people are in debt and living paycheck to paycheck

@yanzalong yes there are arrangements like that, if you feel comfortable with it and you feel that you really need the item then by all means go for it, btw CCs have a yearly membership fee although the first year could be waived. Here I pay around 50 or 60 dollars membership fee a year but I seldom or never use it, just for attaching to my Paypal account.

I have used a credit card for buying things on instalment especially expensive items. My very first MacBook Pro was bought on a 12-month instalment without interest.

i highly recommend 'gainst such. sure, ya pay not interest to the company ya purchase the phone from that way, but if'n ya don't pay yer credit card balance'n full within 30 days, they'll charge ya high interest.

Well it would be worth saving if you can pay the credit card in full on the next time it bills you. You can save a lot from the interest it will earn if you pay them by installment. Or if they have the promo of installments pay them off immediately as it is billed to your account. But usually when they offer it on installment you will noticed that the interest is already included in the installment amount.

I used to buy a flight on a credit card and pay my debt off before my trip. It was done with a zero percent interest credit card. I had to pay around 100 pounds per month off the credit card. I have begun hating credit cards. They can make me go into large amounts of debt. I have learned it is better to save up for a phone.

Many stores propose to pay a little bit every month without charging interests, but you need to have a credit card.

We use a credit card all the time but we always pay it off in full at the end of the month. You can make them work to your advantage if you're careful.

In fact, I use the credit card for daily consumption. Recently, I'm going to buy a new cell phone and I won't be charged interest even though I pay it with installments. Of course, I mean I buy it on online store and with installments, yet no interests will be charged.
