Every few years I have to replace the bath towels. I always looks for sales. Kohl's always has a good one. I found these Sonoma towels, buy one set and get one free. A great deal.
I merged two photos above to show you the two colors I chose. The blue is a steel blue and the brown is more of a dark beige. My bathroom is navy and beige. These towels are great. They are very soft and cushiony.
Funny thing about the towels. The tag said not to use fabric softener. I always use Downy when I do laundry. So I chatted online with a representative out of curiosity.
Sonoma told me the towels will be fluffier without fabric softener. She said the more I wash them, they will be fluffier and hold up better without any softener. We will see.
Do you add softener to your towels? Ever had towels that said not to use softener? Anyway, I love the towels so far.

I use to use fabric softener all the time. But I do not anymore, I read somewhere that it causes more damage than it does good.

@CarolDM I used Downy for years and I had no idea it really was not good for your clothes.

@whiteream How do you keep your clothes soft, like your sheets?

lovely colors :) don't reckon i've e'er read the labels? i use vinegar 'n bakin' soda here (we've really hard water) to soften the water. downy actually builds a film'n the cotton fibers, thus makin' 'em less fluffy o'er time. 'tis 'lso purty flammable - which'd be why the bottle says not to use'n young'uns beddin' 'n p.j.'s.

No, I have never used it. I do not use dryer sheets either, they mess up the dryer.

Yes, I've had towels like that before. Just like they tell you not to use dryer sheets because the stickiness builds up in the dryer, I guess it keeps the towels from being as fluffy as they could be. Those are really pretty towels. Good choices.
