My aquarium still is thriving despite the struggle to maintain equilibrium in it. After the death of my shrimps the 4 neon tetras continues to live and thrive. Just last night after I partially changed water and cleaned the glasses with algae I suddenly saw one shrimp survived and is still swimming but it prefers to hide than show itself. Today I added swordfish and red danios to make my aquarium looked active. They are now actively swimming around now that there’s other inhabitants in the aquarium.

Yes I wanted to have a much active swimmers there. My original residents were not as fast swimmers around. But when I added the Swordtails and the Danios the tank kind of become active again and busy. So far my only concern right now is the proliferation of algae growth in the glass of my tank. It is not harmful for the fish itself but it is a sign that there is enough nutrients in my tank that the plants is not able to consume. So for now I need to have it manually remove every now and then and maybe need to water change more often so I can slow down their growth. I need the plants to grow more so that algae will not spread fast.

@hereandthere The swordtails might grow a little bigger but they are generally that size already. The size of my tank is not big enough to accomodate bigger fish unless they will be there alone.

And your aquarium looks more colorful now. The more the more active it is.

@ilocosboy Yes I need a bigger tank but I feel it impractical and costly already having a big tank.

That's a very pretty Aquarium you got there. Mine has more algae as well, but I'm thinking of buying a top filter soon for the small aquarium.

Actually they have all the same effect since algae will still bloom despite a good filter. I’ve been reading that the best to combating them is to have plants to compete with the nutrients algae is feasting on. But when you are planning to get to planted tank you need a good substrate to plant them on.

I am also glad that it did survive but he is very much shy since he loves to stay away from the limelight. I do not even know where he is right now the last time I saw him wandering about again. I hope he is fine and doing his job well in it.

It does take a lot of time and patience to get that all fixed.

That is true and that challenges me how to do about it. The expert say to buy this and that but I could not afford anymore. I just looke for the signs that popped out whenever there out of balance in the tank. Algaes are good indicator that life has already established in my tank yet if they thrive uncontrollably then its a sign there is something wrong with my tank. So I rely on those things to know what I need to know about them.
