Today I am grateful for the following things:
1. My grandson, Christian, did not have to be rushed into emergency surgery yesterday. I think we will be getting a second opinion on his condition and go from there.
2. I am 100% caught up on notifications. Shocked? I am. I have been working on them since around 6 am this morning and got them all cleared out at the time of this writing.
3. Getting a break. Well, we (hubby and I) actually discussed taking a break amongst all the commotion going on between my brother and other life. He is taking off next week to do a renovation on our hall bathroom. The girls, my mom, Christy and I are heading to the Gulf Coast for a few days of R&R.
What are you thankful for today? Join in on the Gratitude Challenge.

We have so much in our lives to be thankful for, if we just know what to look for! I hope everything turns out alright with Christian. And as far as notifications are concerned, I'm doing my best to fill yours back up! haha
It will be really nice for you to get a much-deserved break. I hope you have a wonderful time on the Gulf Coast, and enjoy every minute of your time with the girls!
I am thankful that hurricane Dorian spared the people of Florida, and also thankful that so many wonderful people are stepping up to offer help and support for the people of the Bahamas.

Yes, we do. We even have blessings in disguise that we don't often notice at all. I'm looking forward to our "little" trip but also ready for a real vacation.
It is so sad of all the devastation in the Bahamas from the hurricane. We tentatively had a cruise planned for next spring to the Bahamas but now we may change destinations. We will have to see. The hubby is leery of taking a cruise. I went on one right after I graduated and of course, I"m ready for an adventure. LOL.

@moffittjc Don't know. He loves fishing and boating. I think at first before he even agreed to look into it all that he thought he would be bored on the ship during travel times. I think we slept an average of hours when we went on our cruise years ago. I finally got him to give in if one of the brothers and sister in-laws tag along. LOL

@kareng Why is he leery? Cruises are amazing! I’ve been on over two dozen cruises on 4-5 different cruise lines and never once had a problem.

@kareng I have a hair appointment in a couple of hours. I always feel great when my hair looks good. I'm getting food right after, it will be great to have a good choice of food. Aldi sent their e-mail for this week's specials. That's always helpful. They've got a good selection of fruit. Then, when I get home, I'll be working on the Thread of Evidence. It always makes me happy to work on a book no matter what stage it's in. So those are my plans besides being here today.

That's good to hear about your grandson not needing emergency surgery.
Hope you can actually rest and enjoy your R&R for a few days. You certainly need it.
Today I'm grateful for just the simple things in life...being alive mostly

The vacation sounds like a plan! I am always thankful for my husband, a roof over my head, food to eat and money to pay the bills.
