Snapped this photo while out filling up the bird bath this morning. The butterfly bush plants both continue to bloom for the butterflies.
The butterflies will be here later when it gets really hot. They like the heat, just like the hummingbirds.
Dustin's garden has been very busy this spring and summer. Kind of sad to know it will all be gone soon. But I am enjoying it while it lasts. And it will return again in the spring.
Gotta enjoy the moments while we have them.

what a beauty, ms. carol! i'd a monster pink bloomer ('bout 8 ft tall) 'n several 'f the purples. sure miss 'em, 'lways lots 'f activity with those. the russian sage does well 'ttractin' all those critters, too. jest such's planted out by the road. 'tis not pleasant to sit out there with folks flyin' by.
yes ma'am, all 'tis gonna be goin' to slumber 'n i cringe to see such 'lready happenin' with some plants here. perhaps that'd be the purpose though? to get's to take more time 'n care to visit 'em, knowin' such'll be a short time.

@CarolDM i miss all the activity those flowerin' shrubs bring. russian sage's easy to grow 'n drought tolerant, too. lovely flowers 'n fragrant notched greyish fuzzy leaves makes fer a most interestin' plant fer certain.
once those're full grown, 'tis gonna be e'en more breathtakin' :)

That is so pretty! I don't think I've ever seen a butterfly bush before.

The pictures you post from your garden are really pretty. It is sad when winter comes and we have to wait for spring to see blooms again.
