I think we have delayed jetlag - or maybe we're just lazy

Last night, we went to Bunbury for a classical concert. The duo, a pianist and violinist, were very talented and we enjoyed their performance. The people who sat next to us turned out to have lived in our home town and the woman had attended the same convent school as Vince although she was older than he was. Her sister had been in the same class as Vince. So there was plenty of chat between us all before the concert started. Next week will be quite busy which will be good really. I feel as if we have delayed jetlag as we’ve done very little this week. On Monday, Vince is making 5 litres of chicken and vegetable soup to take to the golf club for a special day they are having. We also have to take the caravan to the repair place and, if we don’t get any more rain, we might burn several heaps of rubbish which are down the paddock. Photo from one of our fires from a previous year.

If all that you described is you being lazy, then I must be the king of sloths, because I don't even accomplish that much in a week!

@JudyEv Burning leaves? Way to contribute to global warming Judy! Let's just light the whole Amazon forest on fire, why don't we? They have a lot of leaves that need burning! Clean air and oxygen are so overrated! LOL

@moffittjc Now I'm feeling guilty - but really we're trying to make the place as safe as possible against possible bushfires.

That's mostly next week but for the past fortnight we've done next to nothing. I really think we need deadlines and projects to keep us moving. But we've just come in from raking and burning leaves so that's a good sign.

@JudyEv lol, i knew what'cha meant :) did me quite a bit 'f rakin' 'round the pond. seems the heat's really stressed the big pine 'n they needles 're makin' their way 'nto the pond. since i can't burn such, i did the next logical thingy - mixed the leaves/pine needles 'n horse manure 'nto a new gomer (compost pile $3). should be lovely compost by next spring if'n all goes well. gonna see if'n the neighbors wish some kindlin' - e'en so, i'll take 'em the branches that've been trimmed. will save the apple wood fer the grill.

@JudyEv It is the same when you start the fireplace, it burns fiercely for a few minutes and then it calms down.

We took the photo to impress of course! It burnt fiercely for a few minutes but then settled down. We've just lit up the same area this morning.

@Nevena83 Yes, very easily so we rake the leaves into a bare space and stay there watching it burn till it's safe to leave it.

I am fairly certain you are the least lazy person I know online..except for perhaps Deb Mitchell who always seems to be hopping too. I think I have cornered the market on laziness personally!

It's fun but the smoky smell does penetrate your clothing.

Or maybe it could still be the excitement from the performance of violinist and pianist.

I'm still slogging through chest congestion...at least that's my current excuse for being lazy.

It's nice to meet with friends from your hometown while watching a concert. Moreover, once a school. Enjoy the music concert and be careful of fires.
