Addicted To Fries

My roommate has an air fryer!
I am now addicted to french fries from the air fryer!
This past week, I went to Dollar Tree, where they had crinkle fries, steak fries and shoestring fries. I bought 3 huge bags of shoestring fries! You know, the ones that are sold at county fairs, street vendors, etc. I had heard to use malt vinegar, but a lady today told me that she uses plain white vinegar.
So, for dinner today, I am fixing burgers and fries!
Do you have an air fryer? What do you make?

Sorry I am not aware of it. That's the first time I have heard of it. I haven't seen of it.

I am thinking of buying an air fryer. I really like eating French Fries however usually cook these in my oven. Years ago I used a deep fat fryer. I am keen on eating healthy foods with less fat these days. Today I bought some sweet potato fries which my children liked eating when we were in the Netherlands.

@Spontaneo That is a very good idea for me to wait until the sales after Christmas.

Air fryers are really worth the money. Maybe, if you are not in a hurry, wait for near Christmas sales? I used to make fried potato wedges in grease years ago. I want to do potato wedges in the air fryer next!

I do have an air fryer..I love making potato wedges in it. They always come out delicious. Make some from real potatoes and you will enjoy them, and they will be cheaper and healthier.

I used to make greasy fried potato wedges all of the time! I have been hesitant about making them in the air fryer. How big do you make the wedges & how many do you place in? How was minutes? What temperature? Thank you!

@Spontaneo It was like a glorified toaster oven. I just didn't see the point of it

I have an air fryer and love mine. My favorite is baked potatoes (either white or sweet). They come out delicious in the air fryer.

@Marilynda1225 A whole hour? Possibly be easier in a microwave. No?

I think I still have that air pop corn popper machine. But I don't know where I put it. It worked great for making low calorie pop corn. Don't have an air fryer but might get one. We still pan fry our potato wedges. A little canola oil and use paper towels to let the grease off the fried potatoes. Yum.

I could eat popcorn all day, but would probably go into a food coma if not limit myself! As for potato wedges, back in the day, I would boil oil in a big pot & fry that way.

It is so hard to believe how the machine does the frying.
