Pillow Inukshuk, left for the maids

Our motel on Saturday night had wifi! How to access said wifi? That was a task I finally just gave up on. The coverage of Hurricane Dorian had us watching the television anyway. Sunday morning we were relieved to get word from our neighbours....the power was still out, but we had no damage....just flattened rhubarb plants. This morning we just received word that the power had been restored last night. We drove the Icefield Parkway yesterday. That will be a discussion for later. Today's photo is on a lighter note. We had so many pillows in our room we built an Inukshuk, like the many we have seen, made of rocks, along the roads while travelling.

Most nights the wifi has been adequate. Just one night I gave up even trying to connect. Last night it was the television. We couldn't get the cable box to connect with it.

That's a cute picture, we use every single pillow that we ever get. Great news that your home withstood the storm. Rhubarb plants are pretty hearty, hopefully they come back up again.

I'm sure the rhubarb plants will survive. We were most concerned about water in the basement.

@Morleyhunt I liked to find a nice small motel where to stop during our long trips. It's not like home, but so much better than those big hotels where you are a number.

Some hotels and motels put too many pillows on the bed. When we check in we look at the Internet password. Of course the hurricane the WiFi might not have been working.

The hurricane was on the east coast....we are travelling in Western Canada at the moment. The excess of pillows are usually just dumped on the floor.

Wifi connections in these sorts of places are rarely what they promise. I like your Inukshuk. Is that like a religious/spiritual shrine?

An Inukshuk is usually made of stones. It is of significance to many of Canada's indigenous people.

@Morleyhunt I wondered what that was in the picture. I am so glad you got your power back and no damages to your home.

We were certainly relieved to hear our home was undamaged....not everyone was that fortunate.
