I have invented a new dish, never thought of by anyone else anywhere!

They say "necessity is the mother of invention," and I believe I experienced that the other night.
My cupboard was almost bare, but I spied some pasta, some olive oil, some fresh garlic cloves, and (in the fridge) some grated Parmesan and Romano cheese.
In a flash, my brilliant mind came up with an idea: why not cook up the pasta, put some olive oil and fresh sliced garlic on it, and top it with my grated cheese!
It was absolutely delicious (who needs tomato sauce?) and will become a part of my rotation!
What do you think I should call it? Will I become famous?

Sounds good. But I'm waiting for LadyDuck and/or Maluse to tell me that this dish has been a part of Italian cuisine for Centuries. I kind of set myself up, didn't I? And how exactly does "ain't went shopping" translate into Italian anyway? (multiple silly emojis, concluding with a hug)

@andriaperry Me neither. But I actually did live in Italy for a year.

Sounds good to me! I have often grabbed a few items from the pantry, tossed them together and served it up with love. Never had a complaint so far.

Name it “Zappa,” because we all know Frank Zappa was the Mothers of Invention.

@TheHorse NO lemon will not work. If you creamy a couple of anchovies in the oil and add chopped flat parsley this is called "San Giovanniello". If you like grated cheese make a "Cacio e Pepe", butter grated cheese freshly ground pepper. We have more than 300 "common" recipes to make pasta in Italy.

@wolfgirl569 One could use non-radioactive pasta as well.
