It has been a good summer. I have traveled a bit and lounged around and read books. I have slept late and written a bunch--had three pieces of poetry published this summer.
Today, I am putting my schedule together for the year--so up through June of 2020. I love teaching voice--but I hate scheduling--so I am trying to get it all done at the beginning of the school year --or at least the group lessons and lessons where I travel and teach.
My schedule will run 5 days of teaching a week and 2 days with my grandson a week through June--wish me luck--I just bought a bunch of vitamin C and am hoping to stay healthy through the fall and winter!

@divalounger 1 Kiwi a day is enough to cover the need of 1 day.

@jaboUK I started doing it a couple of years ago--and am trying to be more diligent about it--there are a number of sources--writer's digest, and a facebook group--look at trish hopkinson---she has both a blog and a facebook group that deals with poetry and where to send it--

@divalounger I've never sent any of my poems to anyone, wouldn't really know where to start.

Good luck with the scheduling. And even more luck with the staying healthy. I've just been struck down with something nasty which is most unlike me.
I really envy people who can sing. I suspect you would have your work cut out with me. As the great Billy Connolly once said 'I have a voice like a goose farting in the fog'!!

So funny! I am working on aria from Traviata--in which I have to sing repeated high Cs for 2 measures--I sound a bit like a chicken squawking at the moment!

@mrki444 Most schools here have started up as well--choirs tend to startup about a week or 2 after the academic year starts--so I am right on schedule

@mrki444 No--each school district is a bit different. And we also have some schools that go year-round

@divalounger my day was good. I thought it was bad allergies for about a week but now I realize it was a bad cold.

It is true--I do! Otherwise, it would seem like a chore to teach I think

I think you either like the process or you don't --I happen to really like working with teenaged girls--it just works for me

Oh lordy you will have a busy schedule ahead of you and the last thing you want is a cold. Vitamin C will be useful. We also have something called first defence. As soon as the symptoms start you spray it up your nose where it traps the virus and stops the cold in its track! I do not know if you can buy that over there?

@divalounger I had to look it up as we do not have that here. I guess it is similar from what I just read!
