Heading to New Hampshire and Maine!

A few weeks ago I had a conversation with my husband about the fact that I truly loved the beach and missed going there. I had commented on a post on Facebook telling someone that I truly missed the beach and was envious of the fact that they were there and I was not. My husband asked me "since when did you ever love the beach?" I looked at him like he was crazy.
I told him that in years gone by, I went to the beach at least once or twice a month for a day or weekend, what ever I could afford. Now I am lucky if I get to go once a year for a day trip.
My sister and her spouse live in New Hampshire and we are going to stay with them for the weekend. Sunday, being the best day of the weekend, we will go to the beach, which is only 30 minutes from her home. We are also going to an arcade when we get back from the beach on Sunday.
Yes, I do wish I could spend more time with my sister, and also to go to the beach. But, even a short time is better than none.
Remember to enjoy yourself even if it is for a few minutes. Time ticks away fast!

The mountains can be peaceful as well. I have a place 3 hours north of us that is gorgeous. Mountain views and the lakes are splendid too.

@LadyDuck there are mountains all around us too. The lakes in our area are small though, but are close by.

I can almost smell the salty air now! Haven't seen my sister in over a year. Wish I had a week to spend there.

@ElusiveButterfly i wish ya 'd 2 weeks :) i'm hopin' the daughter'n grands come here thanksgivin' (summer 'twas a bust), i've not seen 'em fer o'er 4 yrs now. the miles make 't hard.

We are going to Hampton first and may stay if the beach isn't too crowded. Otherwise we will go up the coast until we find a good spot. I do love York beach and hopefully we will get to see it tomorrow.
I do remember you living in Salisbury. I wanted to go camping there this summer, but we didn't make it. Hopefully next year it will happen. You know I love the ocean as much as you do!

@ElusiveButterfly Yes I know you do and I am so glad you insisted to get there Elusive!! Yes Hampton usually is crowded but a nice beach.
I am really glad you went..so close to the water you should never have to not see it often.
Wish we could have met while I was up there now I am stuck down here in CO..son wont leave here:(
I so miss the water I cannot stand it in here.
Yes York Beach is lovely but you will find a nice spot if you dont go to Hampton there are plenty up there.

Thank you Judy! I enjoy the ride out as much as I do the beach. We usually drive up the coastline once we get there. Love rolling the window down and taking in the view and the smell of the salty air.
The ride out is picturesque too. Lots to see.

I really love the beach. We have only been 3 times in the past 9 years. I know that he enjoys it too, but not as much as I do.

We will probably stop at Hampton if it isn't crowded. Supposed to be nice weather on Sunday.
