A passerby's act of honesty in Minnesota

A Good Samaritan is being credited for doing what is right in the sight of the law when it comes to finding money that was in a ditch in Wyoming Minnesota recently.
When the Good Samaritan found around $4,000 in huge bills, he knew that the money was not his to begin with.
The Good Samaritan picked up all of the money so he could get the attention of a police officer who was driving in a patrol auto to inform the officer of the money that was found in the ditch.
At the same time that the money had been located and been reported to the Wyoming police officer, the Wyoming police received a telephone call from the person who lost the $4,000 dollars.
The person who lost the $4,000 admitted that he lost the money while riding his bicycle when the money fell out of his pocket. He had the receipt to prove that the money was his.
It is a good thing that Good Samaritan decided to report the large amount of money to the police since it is better to learn that huge amounts of money that are found on the street could belong to someone who really needs it more than the person who finds it.
It remains to be seen if the Good Samaritan gets some kind of reward either from the police or the man who lost the money while riding his bicycle as a way of thanking the Good Samaritan for being honest.

Good Samaritan doesn't receive anyone in return.

No. Just the good feeling he did what is right in the sight of the Lord.

@Deepizzaguy Yes what he did was approvingly humane before the eyes of the Lord.

The Good Samaritan has honesty and ethics; and the cyclist is blessed that someone with a conscience found his money!

Losing a lot of money is terrible. Good thing an honest person returned the money to the police who then will turn it over to him.

That would have been a huge loss for the cyclist, but the finder had a good conscience and so he is feeling right and I am sure the owner is feeling blessed.

It was nice of the man to report the money but not smart to be careless with so much money while riding a bike.

That I what I am thinking that riding a bike with such a huge amount of money is asking for trouble.

You are correct since without the receipt, he would have a tough time convincing the police, the lost money was his.
