Grand Re-Opening

The book store that I am constantly talking about here is having a grand re-opening. Technically it opened a few weeks back but today they are offering prizes, a raffle for the chance to win store credit and refreshments.
I am planning to go check it out if for no other reason than to enter to win the store credit. I think they are giving away a total of $500 in store credit. I imagine that's broken down into $25.00 increments but I could be wrong.
I also have to go feed and let my sister's dogs out. I'll do that first and then go to the bookstore. I am only going to her house first because she might pay me. She usually does pay me but she didn't mention anything to me this time.
If she doesn't pay me then I'll probably just go to the store and sign up for the raffle (provided it doesn't require a qualifying purchase) and leave.
If I'm being honest, I'm not looking forward to how crowded the store is going to be, but I'll go for the chance to get store credit.

Try looking at the store as an adventure.

That's most likely what I will do. I am hoping it won't be too busy by the time I go, but there is no telling. They should have enough staff there to make the line for check out go by smoothly. It's just I'm not looking forward to lots of people in the book section.

Thank You. If my sis does pay me, it will most likely be one hundred dollars. I always think that's to much, but it's the rate she always pays me.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I never enter them so I never win either
.
How far do you have to drive to feed their dogs?

It would be awesome if I won the raffle!
I rarely do win raffles though.
I am more interested in finding out if my sister (or brother in law) has left money for me for the trouble of feeding their dogs. They usually give me $100.00 but nothing was said this time and I didn't want to ask as I thought it was rude.
They have three dogs and only one of them seems to remember me each time. The other two are skittish in nature and so they usually wont' eat until after I've left. The one that remembers me is such a sweet old gentleman. He is terrified of thunderstorms though.

@shaggin Well I don't drive so someone will be taking me. However, it's only about... Maybe 10 minutes from me. Actually, that's where her ex husband lives. She lives much closer only four minutes down the road, but the dogs are with the ex husband so...

@ScribbledAdNauseum I find with those types of things getting there early is often the key.

@snowy22315 You are probably right. I thought about going this morning but I just didn't feel like it. I'll be leaving in the next hour and a half to go feed my sister's animals and then go to the bookstore. All I really care about is the raffle. I could have been the first person to put my name on the list and I'd still have just as much chance of winning as everyone else.

Yeah, I wonder what the other "Prizes" are. They created an "event" on facebook and it says you can win prizes and their is a chance to sign up and win store credit. I guess the "prizes" are store merch. They have bumper stickers, t-shirts and bookmarks though the bookmarks are always free.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am not a fan if it's too crowded but glad you got in/out quickly while also buying some books (I read your other post)

@infatuatedbby What's worse for me is when the line for the checkout is too long. I mean, I can sort of manager with a crowded place but when the check out takes forever I start getting fidgety or uncomfortable. I am not the biggest fan of small talk and so I get nervous when people try to small talk me when in line.

It was somewhat crowded. My favorite aisle had about four people on it. The wait at the line wasn't long and I was able to enter the raffle in under a minute. I would have stayed longer but I didn't feel as if I could comfortably look at books. Too many people were around for me to crouch down like I normally would.

That is my intention. However, how many I buy is solely depedant on if my sister pays me for dogsitting.

Yes it is. This store allows you to sell them your old books, cds, dvds, games, comic books, etc etc etc. I've been able to get store credit by selling them things.

Any credit is nice.
