Got free cheese at Whole Foods again

I love to get cheese from Whole Foods. I was there yesterday and bought some cheese called Tumbleweed. The price on the display said $19.99/lb but when the guy cut me a piece and weighed it for me the price came out as $21.99/lb. I told him about this and he went back to check to make sure he entered the right code when he weighed it. Everything was correct. He had no idea why it showed a different price on the scale and told me to tell the cashier about it. That's what I did. They couldn't figure out why this was happening so just voided the cheese and gave it to me for free. I wonder why they couldn't just reweigh it by manually entering the correct price but it was nice to get the cheese for free. Woohoo! I will never say no to that!

That's awesome! When I lived closer to Whole Foods I would go weekly! Now, I only go once a month or so! Enjoy your cheese.

That was nice of them to give you the cheese for free! I don't think I've got anything free from the grocery store before, except for maybe samples they were handing out!
And I've never heard of Tumbleweed cheese. What kind of cheese is it, or what does it look/taste like?

@lovebuglena I’m lactose intolerant, so I have to be careful what I eat. For some reason, hard cheeses don’t bother me, but soft cheeses do, so i’m always looking for new hard cheeses to try.

It's a hard cheese. Don't remember the flavor and did not open this one yet. Could be a sharp cheese.

I have never seen cheese so costly wow. What kind was it? We don't have whole foods around here. That's amazing they give it to you free? Today was your lucky day.

That's pricey but there is cheese that is much more expensive. I've seen cheese that is around $40/lb.

It's not the first time I got free cheese from there. The other time the bar code wouldn't scan so they just gave me the cheese for free.

I've tried it a while ago but don't remember. And haven't started this one yet. It's a firm cheese. I don't think it's mild.
