Designing Women and Recession

I have been watching an old series from the 80's called Designing Women about these 4 women that started a designing business. It's a comedy but covers a lot of family and usual issues of living.
Back then in my life, I never had much time to watch television from raising children and also working outside the home and inside. I did catch an episode now and then and liked it okay. So when I saw I could get the whole thing on my Hulu streaming channel, I started watching.
The thing that surprised me was how many things went on back then that still is an issue today,
Like recession and money problems. Funny thing is I don't remember having such problems back then. Maybe not only because I got paid weekly and I was young enough to handle doing without so much. Plus I lived near family and had tons of friends I saw daily.
If you want to experience the good old days of the 80's you should give it a watch. I am truly enjoying it.

Good that you can still get around doing things so well. I myself am stuck on this bed most of the time being disabled so badly so finally watching several good series I missed over the yrs. of my working etc.

@bunnybon7 Sometimes I complain that I still work all the day, but I think that I should not.

I went through the whole series now and really loved it. never got to watch it so much before. when it first aired I was working a lot and letting the kids watch what they wanted as we only had one small tv.

these days it has brought back some very good memories of a better time. At least I was able to work extra jobs and such when things got tough

My first favorite was Elizabeth Smart for some reason, not sure why. But Annie was next. Did you notice she plays in Young Sheldon these days ? She has certainly aged well.

some things that are problems go away for a few yrs. Like recession. We had a few good yrs then things started down hill by 2005 and have kept going since for me any way.
