I WANT TO KILL!!!!!!!!

I've mentioned before that I wind up feeding most of the dogs in the neighborhood. The people (and I could use other descriptive words) have 7 dogs that they let run wild. They come to me to eat. I've had several conversations with these people to no avail. I was told, "You can't tell me what to do, I live in the country!" I told him starving his animals to death was a crock of.........Well today I got a call from my immediate neighbor that several of those dogs had attacked his and he wanted me to go check on him. He had several puncture wounds; a slashed ear and a 3" rip on his left back leg. I called the County Sheriff's and they came out. I told them about the whole situation with "those people". They went to their house and even though there were 3 vehicles there and the cops turned on the sirens and blew the horns multiple times; they refused to come out. At noon, all of a sudden the one momma dog showed up with 6 of her pups. Where the other 5 were, I don't know. I put out some food and the pups tried to KILL each other to get to the food. Some of them got wounded. I jumped in the car and headed to 'their' place and of course NOW nobody was home. I'm going to the County Commisioners to see if I can't file criminal charges against "them". I'm sure nothing will happen so now you know why I want to take matters in my own hands and KILL THEM.

I'd recommend against killing them. There was a fella in Montana whose wild dogs were attacking others' dogs and chickens. He was eventually "run off."

I've reported them several times to the Sheriff @amadeo . Even though there are laws about these jerks are doing, nothing is being done.

I hate those kinds of people and their "country" attitude. My grandparents lived in the country. I do not remember them buying dog food, but every scrap left on the table went to the dogs daily. Knowing my grandmother, I am pretty sure they also bought feed. They took care of their animals. And they never had more than two or three at a time.

And that's the way it should be @GardenGerty . I make dang sure my 'kids' get food even if it means I go without.

Poor dogs. There ought to be a law against loose dogs.

Yes there should @Alexandoy . I don't care if people live in the city or county and whether you have 50 feet of space or 50,000 acres of land. There is no excuse.

Do you have a local animal control officer you can call? I do understand your frustration. Sometimes local vets or shelters will get involved. Depends on the laws.

We use to have several @CarolDM , but the county decided to spend their money elsewhere; which is a crock of you know what.

And that's the sad thing @yanzalong . Out here in the country we have people who have killed dogs but nothing ever happens to the owners of the dogs.

There is not a law to protect those poor dogs? Starving animals is a crime here.

@nanette64 This is a shame! Every law not enforced is an incentive to commit crimes.

Those people should not be allowed to have animals. I hope you manage to get something done about them.

I went to the Commisioners on Wednesday and stated my case. Who knows what they will do. When the meeting was over, the guy next to me and 2 women behind me told me I did a good job and it was about time somebody said something @jaboUK .

i hope that the sheriff's department don't let 't end there, hon. i 'nderstand yer frustration. those folks need to be tarred 'n feathered, then paraded 'round town. jest coz ya live out 'f city limits don't mean y'ave the right fer yer critters to be wanderin' amok, breedin' like rabbits 'n harmin' other folks critters'n their own property. sadly those 'folks' aint worth goin' to hades nor jail fer.

I'm surprised they haven't had ME arrested for going on their property to feed their dogs @crazyhorseladycx . Tar and feathering; now that might be fun for me.

@nanette64 If there isn't a law about the kind of people who can own pets, there should be to keep irresponsible people from owning pets.

My neighbor has a little dog and a cat. Sometimes they let out the dog. They do let the cat out almost all day. Some people don't understand how to take care of pets.

Here's another idea??... I am Not saying this is the very best idea... But sometimes we are forced to act... Wait and see first, but If it continues, after all you've done, then it may never get better. In fact with those kind of people, it may get worse... When the dogs come over to you for food, load them up and take them to a new home... That could vary depending on what you have available in your area. I probably would NOT use anyplace local either. Just far enough away so they can't find them or find out who dropped them off... I am surprised they haven't retaliated against you already..? Please be very careful no matter what you decide to do. yeah, I'm surprised they haven't shot me yet and considering we all live on 20-40 acres of land; they could get away with it @Denver1 .
