Two Beautiful Sights in Canada | Food Check -In | September 26th

Hey everyone, hope you are all doing great. It's after 1 AM....so I think I am going to head to sleep soon. I am watching 13 Reasons Why and answering some questions on Poll Pass until then. I was going through some files and found some photos from when I went to Canada (and other trip to Denver). For now, sharing 2 photos put together of Canada. Vancouver, B.C. to be exact. I went there with my choir back in 2003 I think. On another note.... I didn't post my food/blood sugars for the day because I had an off day. Had 2 cheat meals, I guess....and then some ice cream at the end of the day. I will be back on plan tomorrow. Did you do better than me food wise? Have you ever been to Canada?

Nice pictures of Canada. I was in Canada once, just across the border from Upper Michigan to Canada, one day and back again to Wisconsin. I didn't see anything except a campground for the night before we returned back to the US. I hope this was a planned cheat day.

Thank you, especially since I was using a disposable film camera at this time! Not sure what part of Canada is across that border, but that is cool that you got to see some Canada territory - even if was just a campground! It was planned that morning, I guess.

I really like the shot on the bottom, it's beautiful. I eat mostly organic food. The only thing I can't find as organic is fish like salmon.

You're welcome @MommyOfEli2013 I would freak in one of those but the shot you got could make me want to risk it if I got a chance to go to Canada. The doctor I went to see in 2018 told me an organic diet is the healthiest. I only deviate from it if I go to a restaurant.

@rebelann I think I freaked at first, but then it was fun. What was really freaky was walking across the suspension bridge which was like 200 feet in the air and swung as you walked on it. Canada had beautiful scenery though, so I would suggest seeing both of those. I can understand that, about organic being the healthiest. I don't worry about organic currently, but healthy for me is super low carb - although this week I am not on that diet.

I put 13 reasons why on my watchlist on Netflix yesterday. I went to Canada twice when I was young. Once was with my parents to Niagara Falls and the other on a class trip in 6th grade.

@MommyOfEli2013 Niagara Falls is like 6 hours from me. I'm to nervous to drive that far so it's to far for me too. It used to be just a tool to cross into Canada when I was young but now we need passports to get back into the U.S. and that's another expense. Our schools no longer go there for class trips anymore. I didn't know there were 3 seasons of 13 reasons why. I thought it was just one season.

Hope you enjoy, I am re-watching the first 2 seasons before watching the new season. That's cool that you went when you were younger! I always wanted to go to Niagara Falls....but it's way too far away!

@shaggin Well that is much closer than Vancouver is to me, it's 12 hours by bus. Oh yea, I remember crossing the border easily back in 2003....but now passports and all are needed....that's a shame! Oh nope, the third season just came out recently!

Canada is such a beautiful place. These two photos are a perfect example of it. I did well yesterday with my foods. You need a day off to enjoy food every now and then.

@MommyOfEli2013 You will. Sometimes we need to not worry about each bite we put in our mouth.

Thank you, I wish I had taken more scenery pics, but at the time I only had a throw away film camera. Hope you enjoyed your chicken corn chowder!

I like the view especially the nature. How I wish I can go there before my time on earth will be over.
