Cranky mother in law.... / myLot

My mother in law is cranky nowadays.She is going through severe depression as her maid left her as she is seriously ill .She keep on staring me and my sister in law as if we asked her(maid) to leave. Although we have been searching for her new maid but due to her harsh behaviour no body is ready to join...

@vandana7 Only the very wealthy in Australia would have maids. Possibly some of those who have high-profile jobs might have someone come in once a week to help with the housework. But maids aren't common at all.

How old is she? Usually, elderly ladies in our parts of the world do become like that. They have lot of time on their hands and don't have any way to spend it. So it is frustration because eyes don't help in stitching and reading, TV serials are boring, physically walking and moving around is tiring if not painful. Does she play cards? Or does she play any indoor games? If she does, she will improve...or if she can stitch then such materials will keep her occupied.
