A Trip Down Memory Lane

On returning from our swimming trip last weekend we called in to the Rotorua Aquatic Centre. This was a special moment for me. While the others went in to the indoor pool to watch one swimmer's grand-daughter competing I went outside to the outdoor pool.
The outdoor 50 metre pool was the first built in this complex and the only pool for many years. It was here my husband started out in swimming pool management as assistant manager in 1976.
I spent some quiet time alone, sitting in the sun, remembering the two years we spent at this complex and thinking about my husband who passed away in July. It was a truly special trip down memory lane.

It is lovely you just how you felt so much those with amazing memories Val. Having a quiet time in the sun must have been relaxing. The 50 meter pool looks so lovely and it is interesting to know about it's history. That is a thermal area I know as I visited New Zealand in 2001 to 2002.

That's a beautiful pool with crystal clear water. Looks very refreshing.
I'm sure it was both sad and bittersweet to be there, especially since your husband Is no longer with you. I hope you have many great memories from that pool.
