I like my Cruciferous veggies in supplement form.

For those unaware, that's broccoli, cauliflower, kale, bok choy etc.
So I actually do like eating broccoli and cauliflower and yes even kale. However, I am going to try a DIM supplement that is supposed to balance the estrogen in the body, taking away the bad estrogen and leaving the good estrogens.
I have an estrogen overload and am trying to balance this in the most natural ways possible. I have tried several things and they all seem to help some but nothing has ever been done to directly change the estrogen in my body.
I am hoping this will.
Have you ever tried DIM supplements?

I have never heard of them.....I hope they work out for you though. They might be good for me since I don't eat veggies...ever!

I wouldn't take them if you know that your estrogen is already at a good level though.
A good multivitamin might be helpful for you if you were so inclined.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I have no idea what my level is honestly. I will continue to drink my zip fizz and my Keto Chow shakes since they have lots of vitamins.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh okay....well I am sorry to hear that. That does sound painful, for sure.
That is a good point, and very true. And usually when I have them both it is a good combo....especially since I don't eat fruits or veggies.

I love broccoli too! However getting the amount of each of this four things you need every single day would be a pain. Who wants to eat the same thing every day? Then you'd be neglecting other foods by eating those so I am all for supplements.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Plus, I've tried the eating of cruciferous veggies every morning and it soon got tiring. The supplements should be here this week and I'll try them out. From what I've read, the DIM supplements should be considered a detox so I need to get some Vitamin C (I'll just drink orange juice) to go with it and make sure I am drinking water too.

@ScribbledAdNauseum how long do they suggest taking them? I assumed it was daily but if it’s a detox I don’t think that would be the case?

@shaggin Well, I read one article that seemed to suggest it should be a one month period thing. I can't remember what the name of the site was and I was on my phone when I was looking it up. I'll gather more info as I go along, but I had enough to warrant trying them. I'll occasionally go on reddit to find people who have used a product I am considering using. I haven't done that with this yet.
If I don't see any real adverse effects I might continue them, but for now I'll just use them until the bottle is empty.

Thank You. They haven't arrived yet but should soon.
I don't usually do many supplements to be honest, but I'm willing to try it.

@CookieMonster46 That's what I was thinking. If it doesn't help I can stop taking it.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It can't hurt, see how you like it and if it helps.

I'd heard the term before but had never really looked into it until recently.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Really? I did not know that. Before I used to have 3 to 5 days of menstruations and I have been having cramps too during the first days.

@JustBhem I can sometimes have an entire month of menstruation. Other times only a day or two and then I go months without it. 3 to 5 days seems like the average but heavy cramps isn't always normal.
The supplement I am going to be using is supposed to balance the estrogen hormone but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone without going to see a doctor first.

@ScribbledAdNauseum A month of menstruation? Are you not afraid of getting a low hemoglobin?!

I don't go to the doctor. I'm careful with what I try though and do lots and lots of reviews. I stop them if I have ill side effects.
I had heard the term DIM before but didn't know what it all was about until now.
