Now that I know what it smells like....

A few years ago I bought a lotion from a homemade seller. I really loved the fragrance and wanted to buy more of it. I was disappointed to find that it had been discontinued when I went to look for it again. I've used the lotion very sparingly since then. Recently, however, I've been doing some research and watching youtube videos. Well, I decided that I'd just do some trial and error and try to find the fragrance oil this homemade seller used. I thought I might have to buy several one ounce bottles of different fragrances before I found the one that the seller used. I was wrong. Today I received a package with the first fragrance oil that I wanted to compare to the lotion. It is so similar that it is either the same or a slightly different formula that I still love. Hurray for me. I also bought a whipped soap base and am eager to make my own whipped soap using the fragrance. Now I can make my favorite fragrance myself and no more using it sparingly since I know where to get it.

@whiteream It's cheaper in the long run and would be an easy way to make gifts as well. I am tossing around in my head whether I want to order more fragrance and more soap whip and make gifts out of it. I can get containers at the dollar tree for it and probably something pretty to decorate said containers. I'm not sure yet, I change my mind on gift ideas about 40,0000 times.

@JustBhem I like that I can save money on it overall plus pick my own fragrance. I also like that I found a website that makes dupe fragrances or fragrances that smell like popular brand fragrances.

Yep! Less expense on my part too, since there was no way for me to smell them before I bought them.

I'm absolutely excited about it and am considering roping my best friends into doing this with me. i'd just buy more of the whipped soap and a few other fragrances and con them into doing it with me. I'm sure they'd have fun.

For Cheaper too, which is always a bonus. I haven't worked out the math on it but I am sure it's a considerable savings. Plus, I can make whatever I want whehter it be lotion, whipped soap, shower steamers etc.

I am glad you found the fragrance you like. I hate when the companies discontinue the products I like.

I love the scent of Twilight Woods from Bath and Body Works. They had discontinued for awhile. But I had gotten a email a few days ago that they brought it back.

I'm glad you found the scent that you like, without buying a bunch of samples you really don't like. My daughter started making soap and it's very simple to do! She went online and got step by step instructions to follow. I love the glycerin soap!

She can even buy melt and pour soap bases of different varieties making it even easier. I've seen some melt and pour soap bases that I considered buying and using fragrance oils and giving as gifts. I think I might actually do whipped soap instead. Glycerin is supposed to be healthy to the skin.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I give glycerin soap as gifts, every Christmas! My friend Karen makes this soap, it's a business that she runs. She has done very well!

Yes. This one makes me think of being in a forest. It's very relaxing. I only bought a small quantity but will buy more now that I know it's the one I like.

@amitkokiladitya We become happier people when we are able to pamper ourselves. It's amazing what a little extra time spent in our morning routine can do for our spirit.
