Vicente celebrated his birthday with the close family in a Japanese restaurant near Claudia´s house.
I love sashimi, specially the red tuna one. I usually get more than my share os wasabi and pickled ginger as not everyone likes it.
Everybody was happy.
The meal started early for our uses and ended up early as the children have school tomorrow.
I have some red tuna in my freezer. Maybe I´ll take it out one of these days.

@marguicha Absolutely, I give you the link of the recipe I use.
Homemade refreshing and slightly sweet pickled ginger (??) or sushi ginger is perfect for cleansing your palate as you're enjoying delicious sushi.

Salmon sashimi is Sofía´s most loved one. I prefer tuna so we don´t fight.
I love pickled ginger too.

@marguicha oh boy people can get really sick eating raw meat. I think it’s very common in Asian cultures though.

@shaggin I eat raw red meat tartare) and raw fish. In our culture it is common to cook the fish with lemon to make seviche, a dish typical from Peru and Chile.

Happy BIrthday to Vincente and sounds like you had an enjoyable time, I always loved grated ginger but recently acquired a taste for pickled ginger

I wonder if I could pickle some. Pickled ginger is much more expensive than the root.

I love it. But there were rolls too. With other ingredients such as avocadoes and cream cheese.
