What Have I Been Doing??

It's been about 3 weeks since we got back from our little mini trip to the Gulf Coast. My computer was acting up before I left and it just got worse every time I turned it on. I finally decided to just bite the bullet and buy a new laptop at the beginning of the month. I have been busy with routine stuff around the house, my mom, and finishing up the bathroom remodel. More on that subject coming soon with update on the bathroom. My mom has had a little setback and I'll update you all on that subject also very soon. Other than that it has just been routine stuff around the house such as cooking, cleaning and taking care of the chickens and dogs. Not very exciting but it's life right now. Friday I have an appointment with a new rheumatologist. This should be a fun appointment...NOT. I know I'll have to go donate blood and get x-rays, so I'll be there for awhile. My old rheumatologist that I loved retired year before last. I have put this off long enough and after the hip problem and continued knee problems, I'm more than ready. Hope all goes well with your new doctor. I hope you can find a really good sale, sometimes you can find super good deals online that allows you to purchase online then go pick up the item.

Thanks on the doctor. There are so many bad ones these days or ones that just don't care. I found this one by doing online search of sales and was lucky that it was in stock. My hubby went and picked it up for me.

I do that too sometimes @kareng I have a couple websites that give me a % back on purchases so combined with that and the % back on the credit card I like to pay online then go pick up stuff .... too often though the items I want are not available in store.

I hope everything would go well. This is the bitter part of aging. Even I,at age 39, I have some minor health issues. What laptop brand do you prefer?

I've had good and bad HP's and Dells. When I was working I loved the Mac's but they are too expensive for my budget right now. I ended up with a Lenovo. It had everything I wanted and needed with 1 TB hard drive.

@Janet357 I had a Dell at work that needed more memory for the web work I did. I never did convince the higher ups that I needed a bigger computer. Oh well, their loss.

@kareng i agree with Dell. i have not tried HP, but i did try asus. Asus was good. Apple products are the best. dell is the worst for me.

@LadyDuck My only complaint was that she talked a bit fast. However, she did listen and was personable. We will see how it all goes. I'm satisfied at present. I'm still not convinced with her bursitis diagnosis.

The old one has retired so no recommendation from him. She is the head of the department there, so I'm sure she is a good doctor.

i prefer non-excitin' myself. hope ya get 'long with this new doc. ya might ask 'bout collagen to help with those joint issues. does work wonders, if'n ya take 't.

Yes, you mentioned that before. I got back on my Glucosomate Chondoctrine (sp?) and that has helped some.

I think we had a good first visit. I liked her overall. She spent the necessary time with me and had all my old records already pulled over from my previous doctor. My only complaint was that she talked fast. LOL. I think that just may be "her" and goes with her personality? We will see!!
