How could it really be 100 degrees in October?

It seems odd to us that we had a fairly mild summer, yet yesterday the bank registered 100 degrees on their sign. Yes, it felt it too.
We don't mind the hot weather, but know soon winter will be here and that we are not happy about.
Are you one of the many who enjoy the hot summers? Perhaps winter is what you prefer, along with the snow and winter sports.
Time for us to finish our plans to move along before the first snow blocks our trail! A friend suggested bread crumbs be dropped along the way so we can find our way back.

@PatZAnthony I am fine with cooler weather, but I also fear the ice and the snow. Last here we have been lucky, but I fear that this winter will be colder.

It's going to be cooler starting tomorrow. I will be happy to see it. 90 degree temps, and yes even on those days when it got up to 100... That's just too much.
I love both fall and winter.

@PatZAnthony Supposed to finally be fall, I dont' think we will see the hot temps again this year. (I'm in NC too, in the Triad)

I hate cold weather so I am not happy at all about winter coming but what can we do I know living here how cold it gets so I try not to complain. 100 in October has never happened here. I don't think I'd want it 100 but it's going to be 30 tonight and I really really don't want that.

I hadn't noticed before that you live in Charlotte. We were there last weekend dog sitting for our granddaughter. We went to a really cool restaurant, Haberdish, but we Ubered so I have no idea where in Charlotte it is! Also, I discovered the Dillard's Clearance Center in Gastonia, but didn't have enough time to shop. Have you been there?

I don't really get into winter sports, but I prefer the colder weather here. When it gets too hot, I'm useless and don't get much accomplished. Living here all my life, that high heat would kill me!

We have friends in Arizona working outside when it is 114 degrees. Not sure how they handle it. Maybe some just eventually learn to deal with it because there is no choice.
