Before I get distracted

I did not get here yesterday evening as I thought I would. Immediately after I got off the bus we headed to Lindsborg, Ks. My daughter-in-law made supper and we just visited. She also shared the gender of the baby. Yes, her 15 year old daughter is expecting and will have a baby girl shortly before she turns 16. My son and daughter-in-law will mostly raise the baby as the mom needs to finish school. This is not really what we would have chosen. It is what will be happening though. There is a huge thunderstorm taking place outside. Hopefully we will keep power. See how much I love you guys. . . I have not even had breakfast yet.

Her mom says that is priority. The family moved away from the school she was attending, as she has had trouble there off and on. She was having other health issues before she became pregnant, so she is now enrolled in a charter school online, and they have moved to the town with the sponsoring public school, so she can go in for help if she needs it, but can do her school work at the time of day when she feels the best.

Oh my, I hope you've at least had a cup of coffee. The good thing about having a baby early is that mom will be much more understanding of her daughter when she becomes a teen. I hope everything will work out well for your granddaughter.

Yes, I had coffee. It comes with me to the computer. H---'s mom, my daughter in law, says it is making her a little more serious.

@rebelann I think she will. She has some opportunities to get some job skills with this school, too.

I don't think anyone would want their kids to have babies of their own at that age but yes it happens .

Her mom had wanted her on birth control, she said she would not need it, however the boy's mom allowed things to go on at home that she should not have.

@GardenGerty how frustrating that had to be for her mother. My mother didn't want me on the pill she had a fit at the hospital for giving it to me.

@shaggin My d-i-l should have insisted, I think. She says they will look for further options after the baby is here.

My d-i-l's family is not supportive of the situation at all. H---the young mom is to the point she does not want to be around them at all.

Pardon me for this comment. 15 is much too young for pregnancy.

No offense taken. We all agree that it is much too young, but we also do not think abortion would be a good choice. It would have been a better choice for the teenagers to have been more supervised when at his house.
