A Maine Police Officer kind act by paying for a mom's meal makes her happy

Gwenievere Rollins is very thankful that a Maine State Trooper who was in front of her and her 18 month old daughter Farris who is currently suffering from croup which is an ear infection and viral rashes on her body did her a small favor during breakfast when he paid the $4 dollar bill for a cup of coffee and a donut.
Gwenivere was taking her daughter to a doctor's appointment on Monday morning when the officer's kind act moved her to cry tears of joy since she did not realize that a state trooper went the extra mile to pay her food bill.
Gwenivere went on social media to report the good deed of the state trooper who paid her breakfast bill at the Dunkin Donuts shop.
Even though the state trooper has decided to remain anonymous, he did read the social media report.
The state trooper's superiors have mentioned to Gwenivere that he will be considered for a reward when the current quarter period comes to a close.
I can see why the state trooper wants to keep a low profile over paying a $ dollar bill for a mom and her daughter.
He is just doing his part to assist people in need. He does not want to be famous on social media circles for one small favor at a donut shop. Could you blame him?

The police need to have more of these stories told. They tend to get a negative vibe in the media at times.

That is so true since police officers would like to seen as good persons and not mean monsters.

@celticeagle Even though I understand why sometimes police officers do lose their cool when dealing with some persons who disrespect them in the line of duty.

Gwenivere was having a rough morning taking her child to an appointment to see a doctor. I guess the officer had pity on her when he saw her at the waiting line to get her breakfast.

The officer must have known that Gwenivere was having a tough morning when he saw her in the waiting line to get his meal at the donut shop.

The officer made a very kind gesture. I can understand why he doesn't want a big deal made over $4; but it was a big deal for Gwenivere.

I understand her viewpoint why she wanted to thank the officer for his kind deed since she was going through a tough time that morning with her child being ill.

The officer just wanted to help the mom and her child which he did a very good job of making her have faith in humanity.
