I'm fed up with our mail carrier

We do not order many things online. However, whenever we are expecting a package it seems that our mail carrier sees fit to stuff it into our mailbox alongside everything else. Today his or her negligence has caused me to question whether I should consume the vitamins I had ordered.
I've already made a formal complaint, and I am going to also contact the seller.
The package was sent via UPS but UPS gave it to the USPS and I believe that is where the damage occurred. My mail was stuffed in the box, two packages, a few catalogs and some other letters. As you can see from my photo, the package was open and the item within crushed. The lid was broken off and the seal is slightly punctured. I am not sure whether I should consume these vitamins or not.
This is annoying beyond belief. I honestly do not think the seller will do anything for me, but I am hoping that the postal carrier will atleast get a chewing out for this. In my complaint I mentioned that had this been the fragrance oil I had ordered, my mail may have been ruined.
Anyone else fed up with something they wanna get off their chest?

I took a better look and the sealant isn't broken. It is indented but that indention did not break the seal. I am still frustrated and am hoping I can hear back from the post office. You can request whether they email you or call and I requested a call.

@JustBhem No, I do not expect a call until business hours tomorrow at the earliest.

At first inspection the sealant looked broke. It is indented but not broke. I have made a formal complaint and hope that the mail carrier will be sufficiently chastised. This is not the first time they have stuffed our mail in the box, packages and all.

In the US it is not so easy to choose the carrier. There are some things you buy and you are given options which can be more expensive. Some places you buy from (or actually, a lot of places you buy from) do not give you the option. The seller sent it via the United Parcel Service and then the United Parcel Service sent it to the United States Postal Service to continue the delivery.

Seems like they've just been going more and more downhill.

They always lose my packages also. They leave it at the wrong building and in my building i find packages that are from other buildings. If i were you i wouldn't take them either.

Mine wasn't lost, but I do believe it was at the post office for four days before it was delivered. It's my mail carrier that damaged the thing. i think it is safe for me to take them but I will have to find a different thing to put them in since the lid is ruined. I am going to wait until I hear back from the post office and from the seller though.

@Ladanger Yes they do. I am not sure that I have ever seen this mail carrier get out of the mail jeep.

Our mailbox is on the smaller side. This isn't the first time the carrier has stuffed something into the box.
