That Time of the Year!

The beautiful tea cup and saucer I received as a farewell gift from work. Photo taken by and the property of FourWalls.

The sure signs of autumn are upon us. *The changing leaves. *The shorter days. *The wildly fluctuating temperatures getting cooler and cooler. *And, of course, that weird smell the first time the furnace kicks on after six months of non-use. Yep, that time of the year! Another thing that marks the change of seasons for me is digging out the hot tea supplies and spending the colder weather warming myself up the easy way. When I retired earlier this year my co-workers gave me a lovely tea cup and saucer. A photo is attached. Now that it's finally cool enough for me to drink hot tea I'll get to put this lovely gift to use. If you're wondering, I'm having Constant Comment tea tonight.

Wonder if Roberts watched the Astros game and went, “Oh, THAT’S how you manage!”

@JohnRoberts — that’s one reason I no longer care for the Reds. They kept Bryan Price around for four seasons and a .419 winning percentage, to the point where I asked my brother if he thought Price had dirt on someone in management or ownership. If the Dodgers players start griping along with the fans (or a number of them start exercising their opt-outs or asking to be traded) maybe they’ll get the message.

@FourWalls Another furor has erupted. According to the Times, management loves Roberts and he is going nowhere. Fans need to stay away from Dodger Stadium next season. And those that show up need to give Roberts and the team the Philly reaction.

That's a beautiful cup! And a wonderful saying. I drink hot tea almost every morning, even in the summer, but it does taste really good on a cold morning.

In the evening I usually drink herbal or decaffeinated tea so I'm not up all night. And it is a great saying. I was so thrilled with this present, and I'm glad I can use it all the time for the next 5-6 months!!

@FourWalls would be thrilled with a cup like that, too! I drink a lot of herbal teas and always decaf.

Very true about Fall and warm drinks. I'm also a tea drinker in the cold weather. The better to dunk my cookies that go with it

I've been drinking iced tea for the past few months but I will probably switch over to hot soon.
