Tuyo is dried fish

In the picture is the dried fish called Tuyo which was often our food when I was in grade school. Those were the hard times that sometimes I don't eat dinner because my taste buds were already complaining of too much tuyo. Just 1 piece for each of the 4 sons, my parents were able to build a home of our own.
Now that I am on my own and quite well off with finances so I do not scrimp anymore. See the picture, I have 2 pieces of Tuyo for myself because I am not poor anymore.

Fried anchovies for breakfast with salted egg and tomatoes plus fried rice. That's my favorite.

I do not care what they call it. To me that is when I say thank you small fish you allowed me to go another day. Society makes me so sick how they take such things for granted. Then smash the less fortunate. Its irritating as all hell.

Although, it can be paired with rice alone, we usually have that together with vegetable soup ( a variety of vegetable from root to green and leafy cooked with water only and seasoned with salt or the dried fish is also a good seasoning to the vegetable soup)
