What did you have for dinner last night?

Yesterday, I watched a little football (American), went to a friend's house to play some music, and realized at about 5 PM that I hadn't eaten much during the day. I decided to treat myself and ordered a "Bento Box" to go from my favorite Japanese restaurant for dinner. The was Miso soup, salad, teriyaki, steak, rice, mixed tempura, and Alaska rolls. I ate the leftovers for breakfast this morning. It was good both times, though it was prettier to look at last night. Did you have anything specal for dinner last night? Is the term "Bento Box" familiar to you?

Don't know 'Bento Box' but that looks SOO good. We thought we'd have a Chinese lunch yesterday but the place is closed on Mondays.

Yes, I know what a Bento Box is the "Lunch box" of westerner. I made cod with cherry tomatoes, capers, black olives for dinner, apples fritters as dessert.

I love a bento box meal! Well, being Japanese, I grew up with bento boxes - though it's much more simplified and smaller when made at home. Last night we went to a Mexican restaurant after a hike through the areas that burned out here.

@TheHorse I'm in the San Fernando Valley . . . south of but far enough from the Porter Ranch fires you may have heard about (Saddleridge . . . ). We hiked through Aliso Canyon where the worst gas leak ever happened (and who knows what is still going on there ) . . . not entirely burned but oh yah it burned out there. I love all kinds of international foods too . . . but I can be a steak and potatoes kinda person too . Do you like Persian (Iranian) . . . that's one of my biggest favs!

Where exactly are you? I am a sucker for almost all Asian cuisine. Yeah, I like steak and potatoes (and salad with bleu cheese dressing), but I could live on Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Indian, and never get tired of my gustatory life. I also like Mexican food, even if it makes me explosively gassy.

I had only water and: one orange, one mandarin, one lemon, and one banana. I was sick and weak since 48 hours ago, I woke up with a strong nausea, I passed out on the floor, woke up again and decided to sleep on the floor, I got a strong diarrhea. Aw, and I also twisted my neck when passed out. The floor soon felt cold and too hard so, I went back and fourth to the toilet and the bed as I had diarrheas.

We baked a spaghetti squash and had a lentil marina sauce on top. It was a Vegan recipe found in a cookbook. Yes, I do know what a Bento Box is. We have a Japanese restaurant here in town that has great Bento Boxes.

@TheHorse I don't think you can get that in McDo. I don't really know as I am not fond of McDo food. Here's the cordon blue explanation.
Open main menu Search For other uses, see Cordon Bleu. A cordon bleu or schnitzel cordon bleu is a dish of meat wrapped around cheese (or with cheese filling), then breaded and pan-fried or deep-fried. Veal or pork cordon bleu is made of veal or pork pound
