Today the TV showed the 1994 version of Little Women. I had seen it before, just as I have seen several times the 1949 versión. In this version I liked more Wynona Ryder as Jo. I never liked June Allison in the old movie. Anyway, I recommend it. It is a wonderful family movie. Have you seen it?

@LadyDuck I read a lot of Louise M. Alcott´s books when I was a child. I found only 2 of them as good as Little Women.

@marguicha I agree that the sequel was not as good as the first one (a usual).

I've seen all the remakes. They show the 1994 version a lot. It's one of my favorites.

I have seen that several times. The actors are better than in the older version except for Amy. She was played by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1949 version. I loved her.

@LindaOHio Elizabeth Taylor belonged to an era where there were many actresses that were only beautiful. But she was also a great actress.

I also watched the 1994 version but I haven't watched the 1949 version. Do you know there is a 2019 version? The cast includes Emma Watson, Meryl Streep and Saoirse Ronan. I wonder how this version will be.

@marguicha I did. I think I did like Ryder as Jo better. I know I didn't like Katharine Hepburn as Jo.

I have seen the version from 1933 with Katharine Hepburn and 1949 June Allyson version. I don't like Winona Ryder so no on that one.

I did not like June Allison in the 1949 version. When I saw it, I was young enough to identify with Jo and Allyson was NOT me. But in the 1949 version, Elizabet Taylor was wonderful as Amy.
