Did you know Maine had a desert?

It isn't sand from the Ocean. Or sand created from an ancient now gone sea. It is sand created by retreating glaciers.
So we wandered the desert of Maine.
We were not riding horses (but I suspect the horses had no names).
We also didn't forget our names!
Did you know Maine, had a desert?

Were there plants and birds and rocks and things on the first part of your journey?

I did not know Maine had a desert..Well who knew? There are retreating glaciers in many places, but deserts aren't created. I wonder what is special about Maine?

i think it was that there was a valley, and it filled with the silt and became the desert!

@DocAndersen Glacial silt is a part of what makes the lakes in Glacier Park so blue.

Climate change is very bad i agree. This desert isn't really a desert, and it was created by glaciers melting 10,000 years ago!
