Oh Monday, Monday...

As I get older, I turn more and more into a lazy person. A lot of it has to do with the mobility issues, and pain. No one warned me about this. Out of the shower and ready to power this machine down for the night. I did manage to make baguettes today, and J was very good about helping me with it. Once again it is the Paul Hollywood recipe. Tomorrow I am going to try and make a Madiera cake. I suspect from the ingredient list that it is the ancestor of the American pound cake. Other than that, not much is going on. And the kitties have been getting up in the new kitchen window. I see little paw prints everywhere...

I would say Paul Hollywood is probably the bread authority. I watch the Great British Baking Show all the time.

@Telynor Yes, a few of them. Currently I am watching the bakers they brought back for the holiday series.

@snowy22315 I never heard of that show or Mr. Hollywood. I'll look him up. Thanks.

I -love- GBBS! Have you watched any of the Masterclass episodes?

I've been thinking that I need to make some more dog treats for Angel.

I feel like I'm being lazy when I don't get much done. But an hour on the treadmill takes a good chunk of my day when I don't get up until after 11. I've had 2 good night sleeps in a row now, much needed. But my days are too short. Got the laundry put away today, and made a dinner and cleaned the bathroom. Just didn't get vacuuming done today as I planned. My birthday is on Wednesday and I will be 57. I find it incredibly unbelievable that I will be 60 in 3 short years.

Happy belated birthday! If I can keep the kitchen tidy, that's a good day.

Sometimes to be lazy is a necessity to rejuvenate the body. I used to enjoy making homemade bread you gave me encouragement to make some bread again,

It is nice to be lazy sometimes but not so nice if you are in pain. Hope it gets better.

You're a baker? I make the basics. Tomorrow I plan on making wheat bread cause we're about out of bread. Your kitty cats are putting love kisses on that new window.

They -love- the new kitchen windows. In the morning they are lazing on the table and soaking up the sunshine.

I've never heard of a Madiera cake, but I have heard of Madiera being used in baking recipes. I love a good pound cake, I bet that Madiera cake will be good.

At times we have to listen to what our body tells us to do. Rest provides us the opportunity to recharge the batteries! Kitties do like there perches don't they...
