39 Vietnamese illegals die in a truck in England

A tragic story here in the U.K was the death of 39 illegal immigrants, smuggled into England in the back of a truck. They suffocated in the refrigerated container after something went wrong in Belgium. At first it was reported they were all Chinese nationals but it appears they are mostly Vietnamese. The deaths were shocking with all involved in the smuggling arrested but what was striking was they nearly all came from one village in Vietnam. The illegal migration from this country, and many like it, is on an industrial scale and almost state organised, money sent from abroad back to Vietnam from those who leave Vietnam actually helping to driving their economy its that big a number who leave. .All the family and friends seem to be involved as parents take out crazy, unpayable loans to pay for their kids to go to the west..The average cost of illegal passage is $15,009 dollars, an extraordinary amount for poor Vietnamese. The people are promised jobs in the U.K , often told that when there is something like a Royal Wedding in England they have an amnesty for foreigners to get he chance of a British passport, complete nonsense. A lot of them are met at the other end in the U.K by criminal gangs run by Vietnamese contacts and end up working in nail bars or illegal cannabis farms to start paying back the debts, a kind of bonded labor. 80% of cannabis farms here are run by Vietnamese, as are the nail bars. The saddest thing was there was barely ten bouquets of flowers at the scene of the deaths. People in the west do not like illegals, even those English who voted to Remain in the E.U, it seems.

I have heard about this news on the tv. It is very horrible. I hope the responsible people who have done this illegal recruitment will be punished soon.

When i heard the news , i was so sad for those Vietnamese. I pity them and hated those parents for paying money just to have them transported like that.

I have read this tragic piece of news and the messages sent from a young Vietnamese girl to her mother. I do not blame those immigrants who hope for a better life, but I would put all those who make money on them in trucks like this one and let them inside for a month.

That is the saddest thing ever. How horrible for these people just hoping for a better life. I will put in a prayer that they find peace.

It is terrible when migrants from poor nations are promised a wonderful life in another nation only to be used as slave labor in their new homeland.

I read about one Vietnamese girl inside that fatal lorry who was still able to text her mother to tell her that she thinks she was dying.

That is a shame. Did they drive all the way from Vietnam?
