Time for Quilts ~ Rain is Bringing a Frost

Raining off and on for two days now. One more day with rain. And then the temperatures will turn bitter cold.
The next two mornings we will get out first frost of the year. Low 30s. Time for the quilts. I am ready, I like this time of year if I can stay inside.
Got most errands done yesterday. So hopefully I will be inside getting things done the next few days. Finished my donation box and delivered it yesterday.
Brought out two quilts made by my dear Grandmother to go on the bed. Brings back such good memories. Growing up we all had homemade quilts she made. So special.
Sharing a photo of a quilt my grandmother made especially for my brother. She got the brightest colors she could find in her scrap material and he loved it. Thankfully I now have this one in my collection.

Quilts that are made by a loved one are the most special ever. I have several that my mother in law and my grandmother made, I treasure all of them. The one in your photo is so colorful and cheerful, I know it's special to you.

what a treasure to've fer certain! so glad y'ave got 't, too. we've a couple the hubs granny made, but they've gotten a tad fragile so spend most 'f their time'n the cedar chest.
to've lows'n the 30's 'tis a blessin', too. hopin' we get that here soon. the sun 'tis shinin' here today 'n we're to get to 52 's our high. 'tis been 4 quilt nights here, e'en a 5'er tossed'n when the temps plummeted to 17 with a windchill 'f -2.
seems most odd to still've green leaves'n the trees 'fter all this bitter cold. thankfully the freezin' drizzle seems to've sheltered 'em from fate.
i've great hopes the next 4 months fly by's quickly's the previous'uns.

i hope some day my bunch'll love havin' my quilts 'round 'n pass 'em to the next generations.

What treasures you have with your quilts from Grandma. I'm sure they will last a lifetime and continue to bring you good memories.
I think we're going to get the same weather but we've already had our frost.
