Early morning visit to hardware shop....

It has been a mystery for last two days.. I noticed some water under the wooden cabinet below the sink next to our dining space. I couldn't notice any leak. We called a plumber and even he failed to notice any leakage. He told that the water might have dripped as kids might have splashed the water while washing hands. Well though not convinced I let it go. But next day again I found some water at same place. Now the plumber in second shift came late evening yesterday and could find the fault. Seems the small pipe behind the cabinet needs to be cleared of clogging and then repaired with some adhesive. So he asked to bring these two things. I picked this acid for cleaning and mseal adhesive after dropping my daughter to school. I called the plumber. Today also he is working in the evening shift and so he will come by 9 PM to fix it. I don't want to go with other plumber in morning shift. Not so confident of him. So I will wait till evening. I have closed the tape from down and we will not use this sink till it is fixed. Picture shows the acid and mseal. This is the first time I bought acid. I was so scared of it. I kept it on my next seat in car. Kept checking that it doesn't leak. Here we are safe and I have kept it safely in closet far from reach of children. So how is your Monday going?? Some might be still in their Sundays... Mostly snoring.

I usually do the job, I pour the acid and then very hot water over it. It always works. If the clogging is not too serious baking soda and warm vinegar works very well.

I use this baking soda and warm water myself. This one is not so easy as the pipe goes behind the cabinet. That's a small furniture and needs some expertise to handle it.

@LadyDuck With fixed furniture around it becomes a little tough to handle such things.

No leaks for last two days after the plumber left. Hope it's fixed. Will wait for few more days to be fully assured.

I’m sure you’ll be happy to have that problem fixed. My husband is in charge of those matters.

@kepweng I generally fix simple things but this one was a little complicated. Needed an expert to handle.

It's good you kept it safe. We have a rainy Monday. The rains keep on pouring They stop momentarily then fall again until the street is filled with rain and it is flooding.

@Nakitakona Oh! That adds up to trouble. Too much of rain becomes a problem.

I recently fixed our sink as well because of the dripping water. It is the broken glue around the sink that water was able to seep in.

Good if we can do it ourselves. I often do it. But this one is a bit complicated.

I don't like the thought of acid either. I hope the leak is a simple fix.

Seems like a simple fix. I hope so. He should be here anytime and working on it. I hope we don't have to involve a carpenter. That would be real mess.
