on a vacation to Mexico that was the only thing my daughter wanted to do (swim with the dolphins). She and my wife had a blast! Have you ever done that?

@DocAndersen — yeah, it was one of the big drawing cards of the place in the 60s. “Meet the real star of Flipper, Flipper himself!!”

There is a resort here like that although I have not tried because of the cost. It is in Subic, the former US naval base.

It's popular here but highly regulated - that is the ocean encounters with dolphins. There are several spots where they turn up regularly.

i remember being on a tour out to the great barrier reef. Some folks were getting ready to hop in to swim around the reef (not me mind you)! the spotter on the top deck shouted fin and in about two minutes, there were two great whites swimming by (first one, and the 2nd about 4 minutes later).

No but the boat I was puking off of out in the gulf had Dolphins swiming all around, and another time when in PC Florida they were near the beach, I mean hundreds. I would not allow the kids to go out that far to be with them.
