I tend to think that a painter will make a progress as time goes by. Perhaps I don't know how to appreciate the real art. I can't say I know the art. I am not professional. I just find this very funny. The first painting was painted by Picasso when he was 16. The second one was painter by him when he was 80. I can only say what a big difference

Most painters start with realism in their early careers, I guess that's how they know that they are good already when they master subjects like light and shadow, color values etc... They later progress and follow different schools like impressionism, surrealism, cubism etc.. or develope their own style. The picture on top is an early work that's why it's realism while the later work show the path the artist has chosen, it's either what I said or the artist now has poor eyesight

Perhaps it made a difference when I knew it was drawn by Picasso rather than my son or your children

@louievill You are right. Donald Trump ever draw a building picture and it costs so much.

@youless haha... When you are already famous you can get away with anything, you can even put your foot print and sign it and it will cost thousands of dollars. The artist and signature is very important to collectors, buyers and art dealers.

Picasso made some great realist paintings when he was young then he discovered that only money matters.

@kepweng It is because he is famous, it is his signature that is important.

@youless The early paintings were really good, I cannot say that I liked his late paintings.

too bad a lot of artists end up poor. they are not given the chance to be recognized.
