1 arrest every 2.5 seconds in the US. Considering the population is roughly 327.2 million; that's about 177,600 people per day for: burglary, theft, robbery, murder, speeding, warrants, drugs, violence, assault, DUI, shoplifting, etc.
With the US having only 4.4% of the worlds population, 22% of that are prisoners and 1 in 3 or 30% of the population have police records with the highest rate of those under 26 years of age.
That sure doesn't say much about the US; does it!

I think it's the guards and security personnel they're worried about @nanette64

@rebelann Very true; I know even some of the cops on the street in Dallas have been infected already. And you know if they have families at home; they've become infected before realizing it. I sure you're safe where you're at.

I know right? Our stats are truly disgusting. It's bad enough that crooks are breaking into businesses that have had to close down because of the virus too. And then people are worried about jails and prisons being infected; well turn about's fair play in my book. @rebelann

After Armageddon the crime will go down to zero at least for a thousand years. Something to look forward to!

Criminal training begins early in some families. I remember watching some Jr. High kids in Oakland harassing and stealing silly stuff like napkins while demanding free food from the tiny Mexican ladies at my favorite Taco stand (actually a small restaurant).

Oh good grief @TheHorse . If I would have done something like that, my parents would have beat me stupid. My daughter one time (age 5) stole a candy bar from the grocery store. I caught her doing it and called the store security. I told him to arrest her. Her next incident was when she was 15 and stole my moms car. I DID have her arrested. She was in jail for 7 days before going to court. Probation til she was 18; had to pay a fine and give my mother an apology in court. Trust me; she never screwed up again. I loved that judge. Too many judges today give the kid a slap on the hand and send them home.
