Steve Martin & Martin Short were amazing!

I did a post yesterday explaining that my dad, brother and I were going to see Steve Martin and Martin Short. And sorry I will answer those notifications soon. It was so awesome! I enjoyed every single minute of it. I wrote down what I could remember so years from now when I think back on this night, I will have a better idea of what went on. I like to do stuff like that because it's one thing to look back on an event and think what a great time it was but it's even better to remember specific things. I don't remember every little detail but writing down whatever I can remember. But I will always remember how amazing they were. Entertaining, great story tellers, funny and talented. One thing I will share is that Steve Martin was the first to come on stage. And he said how great it was to be in Australia. He said "Love coming to Australia because we can see our careers go down the drain but in reverse." I don't want to say too much in case anyone here is planning on seeing their tour or even watching their show on Netflix. But one little thing I wanted to say is that before they came on stage, a screen that we could all see showed some clips of them both throughout their career. One of the clips was a scene from "Planes, Trains and Automobiles." Soon as John Candy was seen, the audience was like "awwww." I know everyone has haters but John Candy reminds me of someone who was well liked. Huge fan of him too. Not just as an actor but as a person, he seemed like a beautiful person. Anyway, again I don't wish to say too much. Maybe another time I will speak about it but then again, I feel like this was that "You had to be there" type of thing. I know that their show is also on Netflix and possibly quite similar to what we saw live. I haven't seen the Netflix one yet. Wanted to wait until I saw them live in case I spoiled anything for myself. Thank you for reading. It was a wonderful night. They were amazing. And I'm grateful to have seen two of the people I grew up watching since a young age. Downside of that night is when we came back home my dad was very sick. Thankfully nothing to do with his diabetes. Possibly due to eating too much dinner. He is better now. May come back on tonight or tomorrow to answer notifications. Sorry again but just been so tired lately. Have a good day / night. ****photo is mine showing the stage. Was taken before the show. Sadly can not take photos or film during the show****

@just4him May I ask why you're not into comedy? I'm just curious what it is you don't like about it. There are certain comedies I don't enjoy. I'm not really into those comedians who always joke about dirty stuff. Just makes me cringe.

I am glad you could at least take a photo before the show. I can understand that flashing all the time would disturb the show, this is surely the reason why they do not let people take photos. I am so glad that you enjoyed.

Sounds like a fantastic show! Always a big fan of Steve Martin's act and the movies he made. Planes, Trains and Automobiles was a personal favorite and Three Amigos and Roxanne were other really good ones. I remember fondly his King Tut skit.
Steve Martin performs his funky musical parody "King Tut," which satirizes the popularity of the King Tut exhibit. Aired 05/22/78 #SNL Subscribe to SNL: http...

@dgobucks226 It was brilliant! Roxanne may have been the very first Steve Martin movie I saw. But when I was little I referred to him as "That man with the big nose." And some of the King Tut song was shown at the start when looking back on what they have done. I started singing along with it and smiling so much. I randomly sing that sometimes.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes, Steve Martin has had a tremendously successful career in show business (even with that big nose in Roxanne)
