I realize that it is a really weird place to store this item
However, I atleast knew that it was there and I would not misplace it again.
That was, atleast, my reasoning for keeping it there in the first place.
Well, today I went and got that expired item out and tried to use it.
It left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Who knew you had to renew your library card ever so often?
It had been TEN YEARS (or more) for me...
So, I'll have to go to the library and obtain a new one before I can use the e-book borrowing service.
Do you store anything weird in your closet?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Of course. What else could I possibly be referring to?

I am not sure how often ours expire, it's something I will have to ask when I go to get a new card. I do know you can update the address and phone number online, so hopefully however long they are good for, it will be as simple as that to renew it.

Yes. Honestly I prefer to buy the books instead of borrowing but I can't justify spending so much on books at the moment.
The program I was watching is now off, and so I really don't have anything else I regularly watch on television.

@Alexandoy Yes, I go to the used book store as well. There is one in my county (but at the other side of it) that offers new books, however, the prices are only dropped somewhat.

@ScribbledAdNauseum the cost of books have increased much which made me go for the Used Books store. But now I seldom buy a book because I am occupied by the internet.

I have some things in the closet that I am just not sure what to do with, some of them I don't think I could part with. I also have my high school annuals in there. The wedding album my mom made me is in there too.

@florelway Ah I see. I also have some items in our bathroom closet that should be in the kitchen. Appliances we hardly ever use.

I pretty much know where everything I have is, even if it's not in a practical place.

Hmm, weird no, but pathologically disorganized yes! I am working on that.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Not me, whenever I am in there, I always find stuff I had forgotten about.

@snowy22315 I occasionally go through stuff as a sort of reminder of what I have. Sometimes I'll throw some things away or give them to goodwill. I went through most of that stuff sometime last year or earlier this year, so I know pretty much what I have, or atleast where certain items should be.
I really need to downsize again.

I'm not disorganized, it just seems like it.

I used to use my dresser drawers to store money. This was many years ago when I was a preteen. I would find it months and even years later.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I used to hide money in my boots, then I forgot and I found the money when I needed to wear the boots.

I had a pair of jeans like that for the longest time. They were jeans I owned before I was married and I kept them until a year or two ago. I knew I would never fit into them again.

Not me, but I have a friend who does. He and his roommates share a townhouse that was once used as a research facility for Dalhousie University Medical School. In their front closet is a real skeleton. It was donated to science decades ago but was never removed by the facility when it closed.

Oh wow! I bet that is a topic of conversation for anyone who visits them.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It's a commodity for them. A little piece of history. Its final resting place.
