Sasha who is a black female cat disappeared from her owner's home in Portland Oregon five years ago was found wandering in the streets of Santa Fe New Mexico. The good fortune that made a reunion of Sasha and her owner a reality was that Sasha had been microchipped when she was a kitten which made it easier for the employees to locate who her owner was and to inform him the good news that his cat was taken into the Santa Fe Animal Shelter by a stranger. What makes this story even sweeter than seeing a reunion of a cat and her owner is that Sasha would return to Portland from New Mexico by an airplane ride to save her owner from having to travel from Oregon to New Mexico to pick up his long lost pet after five years of being apart. Viktor believes that Sasha was taken a stranger who saw her on the road in Portland and drove his cat to New Mexico as the companion of the stranger.

That's really nice. My cat was stolen and I have no wish of it being returned to me.

Micro-chipping has been responsible for a lot of animals being returned to their owners.

Sasha and Burt who is my youngest cat have that claim down pat since Burt likes to leave the home for a short while outside before he returns to the home about one hour later.

I'm glad that the animal shelter flew Sasha back for her owner to be reunited with her.

Three cheers for the animal shelter since it is usually the owner of the pet that has to travel to the shelter to reunite with their pets.
