Teenage girl rescued by firefighters when she was trapped in a chimney

I am starting to wonder what goes through the minds of teenagers these days when they try to enter their home through the chimney of their homes?
One 17 year old teenage girl is lucky that either she or someone who witnessed her getting into her home through the chimney contacted the South Phoenix firefighters to come to her rescue when she was trapped at the bottom of the chimney near the flue.
The firefighters used a tripod on top of the chimney down to where the teenager was located where they managed to hoist her to the top of the chimney safe and sound.
She refused to seek medical treatment after her adventure trying to climb down the chimney of her parents home.
I am sure the fire chief of the rescue team did give her a lecture not to try these types of stunts ever again since she was lucky to be rescued this time.

That is horrible that she got stuck and could not get out. I am glad that the fiirefighters rescued her. That is too bad she did not want to get checked out to see if she was ok. I believe she learned her lesson after what happened to her.

For her sake I hope that the teen thinks twice before copycatting when she sees in the movies and television when a character does something that is dangerous.

@Hannihar She dodged one bullet. If I were her, I would not press my luck again.

When I saw the title, I wondered what had gotten into her head. I hope she learned her lesson.

I hope so too since my late mom would say to me "Let that be a lesson not to do that again since by the Grace of God you were not hurt."

@Deepizzaguy it may not be clear in the news but I think the girl is trying to get inside the home without the knowledge of the parents.

@Alexandoy That could be true since some teenagers like to do odd things in life to impress their friends.

That is a good question why would she do something that is considered dangerous.

I guess these kids watch too many of these teen movies were the lead character does something stupid in the movie and gets away with it.

@just4him The kid do not know that real life is not like the fantasy world that their favorite characters do in the show business world.

Some teens like to impress their friends by doing some oddball stunt to show their friends that they cool.

It is something that Spider Man would do in the animated series called "Spider Man And His Amazing Friends" when he went into the building where the Green Goblin was to rescue Firestar.

I agree with you since teens should not attempt to do the crazy stunts that are done in the movies.

It reminds of the joke that goes on the Flintstones cartoon which is when Betty Rubble asks her husband Barney "If Fred Flintstone was to jump into the river, you would go after him."
Barney replies to Betty "I would have to since Fred cannot swim."

I guess she wanted to impress her friends or she is copycatting what some of these movie characters do in the films that are make believe and they get away with it.
