Well, I had French onion soup in the small Crock-Pot all day. About an hour ago, the soup was ready. But, the plastic lid cracked in half. Anyway, the soup was delicious. I threw in some mozzarella, croutons and Ramen. Alot of you myLotters talk about breakfast, lunch and dinner. So, I thought that I would also. photo by pixabay

Yummy! I love French onion soup:) I wonder if that plastic lid can be replaced, I'd call customer-care and try anyway.

The Crock-Pot was from a yard sale. Maybe after Christmas I might buy a new one. One question... liners are so hard to find and so expensive. Why so? Boy am I stupid. I just figured out what I can do... I can look on-line! LOL Bare with me Kharla... I am not the brightest of the brightest!

@Spontaneo I've heard of those liners, but never used them before. Why would you call yourself stupid?

Sorry to hear your lid broke, but at least the soup was good. You can chat about food any day...we all do around here of course.

That sounds delicious. For a temporary fix a plate over the top will work as a lid. Often you can find more lids, and even the crock part at thrift stores. I bet you knew that, though.

Was that the plastic lid of the crock pot that broke? That means you cannot use the crock pot anymore?

@Spontaneo we are lucky because there is a store in the nearby mall that sells lids for pots and pans of any size. We had already bought to replace a broken lid of a small pot.

Yes, the plastic lid broke in half. The Crock-Pot was bought at a yard sale. So, after Christmas, I might buy a new small size. I still have a large Crock-Pot.

Glad the soup came out so well in your Crockpot. I never thought to make it in mine, but will now. Sorry about your broken lid. Bummer!

Well, I can go shopping after Christmas for a new small crockpot. A little retail therapy!
