Diary 3rd To 5th December 2019

Tuesday 3rd December 2019 - A promising start to the working week (I'm off on Sundays and Mondays) when I finally got a full uncut shift, but Wednesday 4th was reduced by an hour and Thursday, 5th by ninety minutes.
Two fairly mlld days weather wise followed by a dreadfully cold, wet Thursday, and waiting a long time for a very crowded bus as everyone is out Christmas shopping.
I hoped to hook up with friends in Manchester this Sunday but one friend's mum is very ill so we have postponed this until the new year. We chatted on the phone on Tuesday night. On Wednesday night I chatted with my mum on the phone. I'll be visiting her just before Xmas, when I'll also be meeting some friends (different ones) in Manchester.
I sent out all the Christmas cards I needed to send by post over the last few days too.

@LadyDuck actually my friend's mum who is ill, not mine - likely to be at home alone for my Xmas but going to see my mum on December 22nd

@arthurchappell I thought that your mum was hill, I am glad she is fine. I also visited my mom a couple of days before Christmas, she spend the past few years with my brother during the holidays.

I'm glad work is picking up for you. It will be nice to meet up with your mom and your friends. My Christmas cards are done and ready to go to the post office. One must be metered since it's going to London!
